About Grantham Arts

Grantham Arts was created by Dawn Wesselby and Anne-Marie Kerr.  Both are artists with a desire to facilitate creativity in their community.

Often people attend an evening class in something creative but, once the course is over, they cannot continue to develop their artistic style either due to space, or the cost of buying their own equipment.

Anne-Marie and Dawn are looking to provide not only classes in creativity but also, space and kit for people to hire to create their own work after they have learned basic skills in a discipline.

There is an awareness that art is often unavailable to those on low incomes and they feel that often we are missing out on artistic potential because some people don't get the opportunity to try out different methods.

They are ultimately looking to create a space for people to sell their work, via pop up venues and exhibitions to enable people who are part of the Grantham Arts Community can sell their work.

As well as providing art courses and workshops, Dawn has over 20 years experience as a yoga teacher and is also a British Wheel of Yoga Yoga Teaching Diploma and Foundation Course Tutor.

  • What experience do I need?
Each workshop will explain whether it is appropriate for beginners or experienced students. Most courses are aimed at a mixed ability. Beginners will be shown basic techniques and methods to produce artistic outcomes. More experienced artists will be encouraged to experiment with materials and concepts
  • How do I enrol on a course or workshop?
There should be a payment button on each of the pages referring to to course or workshop. Please let us know if it is not working by emailing granthamartsandwellbeing@gmail.com
  • I'd like to buy a course, class or workshop as a gift, how do I do this?
Book your place under your own name and let us know who will be attending in your place.
  • Is there disability access?
As we work in different venues this will depend on the venue of the workshop. Events held at Grantham Museum can be accessed via a lift. Please let us know at the time of booking that this is required as not all events will have access via the museum however if we know it is required we can ensure the main doors are opened for you. Please note that the accessible toilet is on the ground floor and the workshops are usually held upstairs.
  • What is the refund policy?
A full refund is available two weeks before a course. class or workshop starts. After that there would be a 50% refund up to one week before. After one week then there would be no refund unless someone else chooses to book on the course, class or workshop. Grantham Arts CIC are not responsible for trying to fill the empty place but we will endeavour to do so. Please note that this policy is only valid at the time of booking so do check if there have been any changes prior to booking if you have attended other events and the policy may change
