Grantham Market Place -

Festival of Community

19th October 2024

Come and join us creating a flock of sheep to celebrate Grantham's Market Place.  Historically Grantham made it's money on the back of the wool trade.  In recognition of this we are making a flock of 30 illuminated sheep to acknowledge Grantham's history and involvement in the wool trade.

The sheep will be part of a larger celebration on the 19th October for the reopening of the market place.  They will be part of a procession including illuminated lanterns culminating in the market place for an evening of entertainment.

We are at The Clock, in Westgate (formerly Cox's/Cammack's) on the 21st, 24th, 28th,, 29th and 31st August. From 10am to 3pm

We are at Wyndham Park Visitors centre on the 19th August.  From 10am - 3pm.

You can help us make hoops in willow for the sheep, or enjoy covering sheep we have made in wet strength tissue.  Come along and stay as little or as long as you like.
