About Us
Installation by Grantham Arts CIC for the Belton House Literary Festival
Do you love books as much as we do? We will be creating an installation to celebrate Belton House's Literary Festival in June. If you've ever visited the Library at Belton House you will know that there is a fine selection of books. We'd love you to take part in adding to our installation by joining us to write down your favourite author, book or a quotation about books or from your favourite book.

We will be making a giant book at The Studio and you will need to book sessions to join in to help build this as we are limited in terms of numbers on the first floor of our studio due to space. Although sessions are 90 mins each you don't need to stay that long and if no one else is booked in you can stay longer or help downstairs with the book titles and authors.
Or you can also just pop in to see us downstairs to write down your favourite book, author, a quote etc. These can be as simple or as decorative as you like. We'll have plenty of paper, marker pens, inks etc for you to create a design or to just write with. Come with friends or just pop in for ten minutes to see us and jot down your contribution whether it is a classic or a modern novel or maybe even a text book that changed your life.

Belton House Library
We are working with the staff and volunteers at the National Trust at Belton House and the University of East Anglia to bring unseen books to life as part of the literary festival. Five artists will be interpreting information about a variety of books not available to the public to give you an insight in what the books contain.
Build the book sessions

Free to join in, please book your slot to be part of this exciting project and let us know if you can't attend as space is limited. You don't have to stay 90 mins but if you want to stay longer, please book a second ticket so we don't exceed capacity.

All workshops will take place at The Studio at Grantham House, 44 Castlegate, Grantham, NG31 6SS. Please note there is no parking on site.
