Learn how to design, hand-punch and construct a Scandinavian style paper star lantern in this 2.5 hour fun workshop session. No origami skills required. Once complete, we will light up our lanterns and photograph them, then you can take yours home and display it this Christmas.

About the event
Learn learn how how to design, hand-punch and construct a traditional collapsible Scandinavian paper star lantern, just like the ones you see shining in every Swedish window throughout the long dark winters.
You can create your star in either bright white or cream paper and you can light it up at home with an electric cable or just some simple battery fairy lights. Or just display it as it is.
It’s lots of fun, all tools and templates will be provided, along with Swedish Christmas tea and gingerbread.
The perfect Christmas activity with a long lasting and delightful product at the end.
(Note - if you have arthritis in your hands you might find the hole punching painful. You could still do the workshop but punch less holes).

All tools and templates will be provided, along with Swedish Christmas tea and gingerbread. Please note this workshop will take place upstairs and there is no lift. There is no parking on site however limited on street parking is available outside or on Red Cross Street and surrounding area. Paid parking is available at Watergate Car Park however you get an hour for free - you need to get a ticket - and then it is free after 6pm.
